An Ocean's Wave
By Jay Miller

Soon I will be there
This place I’ve found
So long I’ve waited
Drifting around

I’ve been everywhere
I’ve seen many shores
It seems they never end
There’s always more

But for this I’m grateful
This precious moment in time
While I seep in this cleansing sand
This home will be mine

I’ll drift out to sea again
Where, I don’t know
But for right now
I don’t have to go

I’ll spread out my arms
I’ll hug all I can
And touch this place
On God’s precious land

Some days I’m mighty
Some days I’m small
Right now I’m breaking
At peace with it all

At Home again… Thank You Lord…

God's Little Apple Tree
By Jay Miller

When you were young I earthed you.
I gave you a place to call home.
You spread your branches and flourished.
You were never alone.
For a scarecrow stood there beside you, to keep the birds away.
He did his best to protect you, until that sad certain day.
The clouds began to gather.
The winds began to blow.
Your trunk split open, you broke away, and why you went down I don't know?
I turned away and forgot you, as you lay flat on the ground.
You wept, you suffered, till found.
I saw the green in the springtime.
I stood you back up and then.
You started to flourish, again spreading branches; God restored your life again.
Stand and bask in his glory.
Show your gifts that you offer with praise.
You will live to bear much fruit for him.
He'll protect you the rest of your days.

The Apple Tree
By Jay Miller

Well, I use to be a little apple tree, I grew up from the ground
Birds all came and pecked on me and knocked my apples down
So, I asked the Lord to save me. To move me from this place
To put me closer to him, so I could see his face

So, he picked me up and moved me, and he did it with such ease
He planted me in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve
But they crawled underneath my branches, and they hid beneath my leaves
Then they ate some rotten apples, and it brought them to their knees

So, I asked the Lord to save me, to move me from this place
Put me closer to him, so I could see his face
So, he picked me up and moved me, and he did it with such ease
He planted me up in his crown, high above the other trees

Now the birds don’t come and peck on me, my apples don’t fall down
Jesus picks them everyday, and he passes them around
Well, I use to be a little apple tree, that grew up from the ground
Now I’m a big old apple tree, hope to see you around.
