Spiritual Warfare Prayer

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

The Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:4 that our weapons are not carnal but MIGHTY in God for pulling down strongholds. And that's what we do with prayer. As much as this makes many Christians uncomfortable, spiritual warfare is essential in our walk with God. The truth is a spiritual realm does exist and in that realm there are demons that want to destroy us and our loved ones. We can battle against the demonic realm with God's Word and prayer. You can use the following prayer or pray something the Lord gives you.

PRAYER

I cover and bind all demonic spirits and activities from my life, all watcher and listener spirits, blockers and scramblers, principalities and powers, rulers and dominions and all strongholds in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matt 18:18, Eph 6:12, Esek 28:7-8)

I command all astral travelers to return to where they have come from, knowing only that Jesus Christ is Lord of all. (Luke 10:19)

I cut and negate all curses, voodoo, hexes, spells, magic, mantras, runes, incantations, rituals, ceremonies, chanting, oaths, predictions (especially those done using blood), psychic prayers, spoken words and thoughts, written and enacted against me and my family. This includes curses on relationships, of destruction and division, curses on health, of sickness and death, curses on our minds, of depression, fear and suicide, and curses on our finances of poverty, debt and robbing, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 54:17, Isaiah 17:12-14)

I sever myself from the source of these curses, whether they are from witchcraft, wizardry, voodoo, sorcery, New Age, satanism, psychics, channelers (a person who conveys thoughts or energy from a source believed to be outside the person's body or conscious mind; specifically: one who speaks for nonphysical beings or spirits), Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist prayers, ancestral, aboriginal and freemasonry rituals, prayers from every other religious group or false Christian prayers. Also I negate all negative words spoken against me or against my family from any vow, oath or promise that has been made, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Deut l8:9-13)

I forgive all those who have come against me in this way and cut off ties and connections to them. I grind these ties into dust and throw them into the pit. I cover and bind all spirits that have come onto me through these activities or in any other way. I remove their protection and negate their assignments in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I bind the powers of all those coming against me, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matt 5:44, Matt 16:17-19, Luke 21:22)

FOR PROTECTION

Lord, I claim Your promises. Your Word says: - that You will fight for me (Deut3:22)
- it will not be by might nor power but by Your Spirit (Zech 4:6)
- because of my weakness You will become strong in me. (Heb 11:34)
- that even the gates of Hades shall not prevail against me as part of Your church, (Matt 16-18)
- that through You we shall do valiantly, because it is You who treads down our enemies, (Psalm 108: 13)

Lord, I also ask You to send angels to do battle for me here on earth and in the heavenlies against every source of wickedness. (Heb 1:14, Psalm 103:20.)

I ask you Father to cover and surround me and my family, properties, cars, pets and material assets with the precious BLOOD of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Rev 12:11)

I ask that the precious BLOOD of the Lord Jesus Christ will also cover my body, soul and spirit as well as my mind, will, emotions and heart. (Heb 9:14.)

I am complete in Him, redeemed, cleansed and sanctified by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. (3 John 1:7) Therefore the devil has no place in me and no power over me. (Rom 16:20)

I ask You, Heavenly Father, to place Your hedge of protection around about me. (Job 1:10) Please hide me under the shadow of Your wings and surround me as with a shield and hold me in Your righteous right hand. (Psalm 91:4, Psalm 5:12, Psalm 108:6) (Prayers from Oz Challenge Inc.)

BREAKING SOUL TIES

God’s people sometimes perish for a lack of knowledge. We end up in a cycle in our lives because we do not have the information that we need to be free from bondage and traps that the enemy has set for us.

Many are trapped in their past and are unable to move on even after coming to know the Lord. Christ died for our sins – past, present and future. It is our responsibility to continually seek Him and to do the things that will keep us free from sins of the past.

One such sin is ungodly soul ties. Soul ties can be dangerous to our future.

Let’s illustrate what we mean by the phrase “Soul Ties”. A man was created to by joined with one woman. The two shall become one Genesis 2:24: “That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.”

Centuries ago there were no marriage contract, courthouse or judge to perform ceremonies so the act of two become one flesh is that of a sexual relationship. This is in essence what the marriage contract is – a sexual relationship. Therefore, everyone that has sex with another individual has joined themself to that person.

What happens when there is a divorce and then remarriage? Well, unless the soul tie is cut each of those individuals now enters a new relationship with their soul tied to someone else from the past. This goes on for generations and through several people.

There can be no wholeness in your marriage if you are still tied to others through past sexual relationships. This can cause an end to their new marriage.

This is just one example of a soul tie. They are not healthy and prevent us from living in the fullness of Christ and having healthy relationships. Soul Ties need to be broken in order for true healing and wholeness to take place. Prayer is a very powerful tool and when said from the heart and with sincerity the Holy Spirit will remove the ties thus freeing the person to be whole in their marriage.

Here are other examples of situations that could create bad soul ties:

* Sex sin: Sex unites people physically, emotionally and spiritually. If we have sex with people other than our spouse, we create soul ties that cause all kinds of problems (spiritual confusion, emotional confusion, sex addiction, compulsive behaviors, obsession, etc.).
* Looking at sex images, memories, objects and fetishes: These activities can establish a soul tie with an evil spirit. An example of this is found in Hosea 4:17 when Ephraim became joined with his idols. A tie may not be established in every instance, but it is certainly possible. Example objects: a favorite porn depiction, a garment worn by a former lover, pictures of former lovers, a cherished sexual memory.
* Sexual abuse/molestation: This can result in soul ties between the perpetrator and the victim. If you have been involved in sexual abuse, please seek healing prayer and Christian counsel as you proceed in your journey to freedom.
* “Unhealthy” relationships: Examples include relationships characterized by manipulation, guilt, emotional abuse, co-dependency, unnatural affection, envy and/or lust.

You may not have had all of these things happen to you but if you have at least had one of these items happen in your life you may need to pray this prayer.

Here is a prayer for cutting soul ties:

“Father God, I thank you for saving me from destruction. I praise you for sending Jesus to die for my sins. Please forgive me for my sins against you. Specifically, I confess that I ______________(details of the sin & names). I repent of that sin and renounce it now. Lord, please purify my heart from this sin, the memory of it and any associated fantasy I have entertained in my mind regarding it. In the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of his blood shed on the cross, I cut myself free from any soul ties that may have been established with _______ (name (s) or specific objects). I commit him/her/them to the care of Jesus Christ for him to do with as he wills. Satan, I rebuke you in all your works and ways. I rebuke any evil spirits that have a foothold in me. In the name of Jesus, I command you evil spirits to leave me and go directly to Jesus Christ. Father, please heal my soul of any wounds resulting from these soul ties. Please reintegrate any part of me that may have been detained through this/these soul ties and restore me to wholeness. I also ask that you will reintegrate any part of the person(s) I sinned with that has been detained in me, and restore them to wholeness. Thank you, Lord, for your healing power and your perfect love for me. May I glorify you with my life from this point forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” (From Missionaries of Prayer)

Another prayer:

I renounce all covenants, pacts, promises, curses and every other work of darkness to which I have been exposed or made liable by my own actions or by the actions of others. By the act and decision of my own free will, Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask You to go to the root and dig and cut, and loose me from every soul-tie and from every form of bondage of my soul and body to satan, or any of his agents rather in human form or demonic form or animal form. And Father, in the name of Jesus, I also, ask that You go to each of the above named, and at the root, dig, tear, cut and loose them from me. Take them out of me and detach me from their influence in Jesus name!

Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, thank you for the authority of Your Word. In the name of Jesus:

I command every portion of my soul (my thoughts, my will, my emotions, my personality and mind) and heart, all of me: spirit, soul and body, that has been fragmented, torn or broken or cursed, to come back into its proper place; to be healed; every piece of my heart to be returned; my soul to be restored and every bondage and related soul-tie to be completely broken, destroyed and totally detached from me, in the name of Jesus! Father God, in the name of Jesus, I ask now, that You heal my heart and guard it by Your Power and Your Love, and keep my heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Make me whole in every area of my life. I desire to live in a manner that pleases You, and brings glory to Your name. (From Soul Tie - B4Prayer)

PRAISE THE LORD

I will love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my Deliverer, My God, my strength in whom I trust. My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised so shall I be saved from my enemies. (Psalm 18:1-3).
